1997 Father's Day

Gold Star son Mark Pitts, emphatically challenged SDIT members to be strong and resilient. Mark's father, Capt. Riley Pitts, was killed October 31, 1967 near Ap Dong, Vietnam and received the Congressional Medal of Honor for his heroic actions.

Noted folk singer and Gold Star son Hank Cramer, performs 'Touch a Name on the Wall.' Hank's father, Capt. Harry Cramer, West Point Class of 1946, was killed near Nha Trang, Vietnam on October 21, 1957.
